(To the Editor.) Sir, —Since writing a letter to you? paper a. few days ago, complaining of lack of courtesy at the Palmers* ton railway station. I have had ajj interview with Mr O’Shea the station* master in regard to admission to tht» Palmerston railway platform. . , Mr O’Shea went carefully into thO matter with mo and he informed rap that platform tickets are not no# sold at any railway station. How» ever it is Mr O’Shea’s custom to give admission tickets to any person who has business at the Auckland express or any reasonable plea for going oh to the platform, if they apply at his office. I am quite satisfied now that had I followed this course I would have been admitted It is only fair to Mr O’Shea and his office staffi that I should publicly acknowledge this, as I am quite satisfied now thqt If any unpleasantness occurs with the door porters over the matter of admission it is through no fault of Mr O’Shea or his office staff.
