By defeating the Klmbolton ladies by 2 goals to nil at Kimbolton on Wednesday afternoon last the local team scored its first win of the season —a very popular one at that. On .account of the sodden state of the ground, the game more or less resolved itself into a mud scramble, the players at times being unable to keep their feet, much to the enjoyment of the few spectators. For the winners Miss M Culdcr (the left-wing forward) plavod the best game on the field senring both goals one in each half. Mr. W L Hessoltine carried out the unenviable duties of referee and came in for his fair share of the mud and knocks. The visitors were afterwards entertained at afternoon tea.
