AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
Mr. W. H. Christenson, secretary to the local Amateur Athletic Club, has prepared the following information respecting the allocation of the different trophies won during the past season: Donated for most points in cycling events during the season, Bain’s challenge cup was won by J, H. Coopet with 16 points. This competitor also won Wildborc’s gold medal which accompanies the cup. The runers-up in the competition were R. Benge and V. Liddal (6 points each), R. Kitney, G. Anderson and A. W. Reid (5 points each). The Treasure Cycle cup to be competed for over a distance of 20 miles and donated for the purpose of long distance racing, was won by V. Liddal. O. Scotney, with 26 points, -won the Scotney challenge cup for most points in athletic events held during the season and also the accompanying gold medal presented by Mr. E. H. Fisher. The runners-up of the competition were W. Wilton (24), K. Sowerby (22) and F. Bray and F. Heard (IS points each). Donated for the purpose Of promoting long distance running and aliocated as the trophy of the two-mile championship held towards the dost of the season, K. Sowerby won the Sowerby challenge sicld.
