PALMERSTON NORTH RADIO CLUB.
FOUNDER AND SECRETARY FAREWELLED. A meeting was held in club rooms last night. Mr. Kyle presided over a good attendance. Correspondence from the Auckland Radio Society was read and received. Mr. Jensen was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for donation of a cabinet for the transmitter. | The opportunity was taken to farewell two valuable members (Messrs. Johnson and Hunter) who arc leaving the town. Mr. Kyle, in making presentation to those gentlemen, spoke in glowing terms of the work done by both members as secretary and founder of the club respectively. He spoke of the work done by each and in wishing them the best of success in their future spheres of life presented ‘Mr. Johnson with a transmitting valve and key, and Mr. Hunter with a pocket wallet suitably inscribed. Mr. Forrest also spoke and wished both members “a.u rovoir.” The meeting terminated with the singing - of "For they are Jolly good Follows.’’
