DANISH EXPORT OF PRODUCE.
The Danish paper "Smor-Tidende" reports the following activities io Danish production and exports:— Danish egg market. —On April 1 the new regulation was passed by the Danish Parliament, authorising the Minister of Agriculture to issue orders that eggs, whether imported into or exported from Denmark should be marked both on the eggs and on the packages holding them. They should also be marked with the weight and grade of the eggs, and anyone wishing to export goods must apply to the Minister for a license. Samples can be taken at any time and if the eggs do not correspond with the markings the Minister has power to prosecute. Danish exports: Butter. —For the first three mouths of this year the following figures have been given for the exports of Danish butter: Great Britain, 18929 tons; Germany Switzerland and Czecho-Slovakia 18,820; Belgium, 288; other countries, 336. Danish egg shipments. —For the first three months of this year 9,133,000 scores were exported or which Great Britain imported 7,884,000, Sweden and Norway 12,00( scores. Bacon shipments.—For the first months of this year the total Danish shipments of bacon from Denmark were 49,929 tons of which 49,496 tons went to Great Britain Siberian butter. —The Soviet Government are making every effort to improve the quality of exported butter and have engaged the services of two Danish experts to assist and advise in the manufacture. Competition from this quarter will be keen, and this revival in the Siberian butter industry will have to be carefully followed.
