SOCIETY MAN AND APACHE
JEKYLL AND HYDE EXISTENCE OF DR. BOUGKAT. HYPNOTISED AND ROBBED PATIENTS. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Ausl. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Tuesday, 7 p.m.) PARIS, Juno 15. A telegram from Marseilles states that investigations reeval that Bougral was a sort of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde. While he was a well known doctor, moving in the best of society in Marseilles, having married Into an excellent family, he also frequented the lowest night resorts, consorting with apaches and taking part in their free fights. After distinguished war service, he underwent the operation of trepanning. It is thought his Jekyll and Hyde existence may have affected his mind. He was in the habit of hypnotising and robbing patients. The doctor's sweetheart, Andrea Audibert, who is charged with complicity in the death of Rumebe, was recently a servant in a Marseilles lodging house.
