The Pacific Cable Board notifies that contracts for the Vancouvcr-Fan-ning Island-Fiji cable have been placed with Siemens Telegraph Construction Company, embodying a new invention conferring unprecedented traffic—carrying capacity. The contractors arc building o. special cable ship to carry the record weight. The work will be completed by August 1026.
