The Bank of New Zealand- has received the following- cabled advice from its London Oflicc, dated December 12th:— Butter. —Firm, 204/- lo 200/ per cwt. Cheese.-—Market firm on short spot supplies, 93/- to 94/- per ;wt. Frozen Meat.—'i he market for wethers is firm. Prices for ewes will probably remain steady. The lamb market is expected to go lower oking to large supplies expected. The market for beef is depressed owing- to heavy arrivals of Argentine.—Wethers light, Bd. to 91d. per lb.; wethers heavy, 7:td. to Sd. per lb.; ewes 61d. to 7Jd. per lb.; Australian lambs, 12id to 13d. per lb.; ox hinds, 4!;d. to sd. per lb.: ox fores 4trl to 41d. opr Hi.
