Fat lambs and fat cattle showed a decide tinning, but other classes were unaltered in value. The sale did not conclude till a late hour. Store Sheep.—A fair-sized yarding, with a brisk demand, particularly for lambs. Good rape lambs sold at 30/to 33/5; smaller lambs 27/3 to 28/6; sound and failing-mouthed woolly ewes and lambs, 32/5 lo 33/2; aged crossbred woolly ewes and lambs, 27/9; inferior and aged shorn ewes, and lambs 22/1 to 24/4; two-toothed crossbred ewes, 32/9 to 37/-; forward two-toothed wethers, 34/3; good twotoothed halfbred wethers, 31/- to 32/; small and inferior two-toothed half--bred wethers, 26/ to 27/; four and six-toothed crossbred wethers to 33/10; four and six-toothed halfbred Avcthors, 30/1 to 34/6; lower conditioned four, six and eigbt-toothed halfbred Avcthors, 28/3 to 28/9.

Fat Lambs. —A heavy pre-holiday yarding: of over 5,000 head came in, and met an advance in values, a good proportion selling at fully 13Jd a lb. for export. Butchers paid to near ltd for light lambs. Extra prime lambs fetched 47/- to 49/-; a special line, to 51/; prime, 43/ to 46/6; medium 39/6 to 42/6; light, 33/- to 39/-. Fat Sheep. •An exceptionally heavy entry of over 13 races—fifty per cent, more than the recent average. There was an irregular market, but generally it was up to last week’s rates. Exporters operated to a limited extent. Fat Cattle. —Another heavy yarding of 545 head. The market was better in the earlier stages by 30/a head, but slipped back over the final part. Extra prime beef made to 45/; prime, 40/ to 43/; prime heavyweights, 37/ to 39/6; medium, 34/ to 37/6; light, 30/ to 33/1; rough, down to 25/. Extra prime steers realised £l9 to £2O 7/6; prime, £l6 15/ to £l3 10/; medium, £l3 5/ to £l6; light £ll to £l3; rough. £9 10/ to £lO 10/; extra prime heifers to £l6 2/6; prime, £lO 5/ to £l3; ordinary £7 5/ to £10; light, £4 10/ to £6 10/; extra prime cows to £l3 13/6; prime, £9 10/ to £l2 10/; medium, £7 to £9 5/; aged £3 5/ to £6. Vealcrs. —A small yarding and an advance in price. Runners made to £7 15/; good veaiers, £3 10/ to £6; good calves, £3 to £3; small calves 15/ to £1 12/6. Store Cattle.— Mostly heifers were entered and there was fairly good demand. Three year heifers sold at £4 to £4 5/; four year steers to £3 5/; yearling' steers and heifers, 25/ to 40/; cows, to £2 15/.

Dairy Cattle. —A slight improvement on recent sales. Best second, third and fourth calvers (springing) made £G to £8 10/: medium, £3 10/ to £5 15/; springing heifers, £3 to £5 5/; aged cows, £1 15/ to £3. Fat Pigs.—A small entry and firmer market. Choppers brought £2 10/ to £4 5/; light baconors, £3 G/ to £3 15/; heavy £4 to £4 5/ (average price per lb. 6d to 63d); light porkers £2 8/ to £2 13/; heavy, £2 15/ to £3 3/ (average per lb. 7d to 73d). Store Pigs.—A free sale. Small weaners, 21/ to 24/; good, 2G/ to 31/; small stores, 33/ to 30/; medium, 38/ to 45/; large, 47/ to 50/6.
