OBITUARY.
MR. OWEN HAYCOCK. The death took place on Saturday evening at the residence of hla daughter, Mrs E. C. Gillanders, 221 College Street, of one of New Zca’and’s early settlers in the person of Mr Owen Haycock, at the age of 7!) years. The deceased gent’eman w.u born at Spring Cove Nelson, in 1 845, and, after acquiring such meagra education as those early days afforded subsequently took up farming in Nelson and Marlborough. He moved to the North Island 46 years ago, and took up residence in the Walrarapa. later living f n Pa’merston North for ' 6 years. For the last three years he had resided in Woodvi le. He Is survived by his w’dow, three daughters end two sons. They are; Mrs F. W. llummer (Tasmania), .Mrs E. C. Glllanders (P.N.), and Miss S. Havcrck (PN.), and Messrs T. . O. Haycock (Martinhorough), and S. L. Haycock (Rotorua).
