FASHIONABLE WEDDING

JACOB—WARBURTON,

A very pretty and fashionable wed* ding was celebrated In All Saints Church yesterday afternoon when Miss Maud Warburtou, second daughter of Mrs Eliot Warburtou, Alexandra street, was married to Mr William Hubert Jacob, eldest son of Mr W. F. Jacob, of Kiwitea. The church had been beautifully decorated with autumn foliage and coral tinted chrysanthemums and zinnias to match the frocks of the bridesmaids. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Darien Warburton, made h charming picture in a frock ol white brocaded marocain cut on perfectly straight lines, draped to one side and held with pearl, cabochons. A square train of silver tissue fell from the shoulders. Her veil which was arranged over a wreath of orange blossoms w'as worn over the face and she carried a bouquet of white hothouse flowers and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Molly Warburton and Miss Barbara Hartgill, of Dannevirke, as bridesmaids. Their dresses were of powder blue marocain with long straight bodices. The skirts were caught with coral flowers forming panniers f on the hips. Blue veils edged with blue and coral flowers wore worn on their heads and they carried early Victorian posies of pink and blue flowers. Two little ladies. Miss Broad ami Miss Jacob, acted as tralnbearers, and their frocks were made to match the two elder maids'. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Roy Dalrymplo as best man and Mr Meyrick as groomsman.

Mrs Warburton, the bride’s mother, wore a toilette of black marocain relieovd with white, and a black hat with ospreys, carrying a bouquet of autumn tints. Miss Warburton, the bride’s sister, weyre a frock of henna georgette with hat to maj/ch.

Mrs Cecil Jacob, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, wore a grey marocain frock with black hat trimmed with ostrich feather; Mrs Oram, aunt of the bridegroom, wore a becoming toilette of black, with black and grey hat. Amongst those present were: Mrs Fulton (Wellington), Mrs Kceblc, Mrs Hankins, Mrs P. Sirn, Mrs W. L. Fitzherbert, Mrs Birch, Mrs and Miss Goring Johnston, Mrs and Miss Loughnan, Miss Nairn (Hastings), Misses Fitzherbert (2), Mrs Turner, Mrs and Miss Mcßae, Mrs Lyons, Mrs and Misses H. Waldegrave, Misses Cameron, Mrs Cohen, Mrs Hartgill (Dannevirke), Mrs Lloyd (Dannevirke), Mrs L. A. Abraham, Miss Abraham, Mrs R. S. Abraham, Mrs/Pascal, Mrs P. PI. Cooke, Mrs Handley, Miss Fraser, Mrs Newton Broad (Peilding), Misses Goldingham, Baker, Stafford and Russell. After the ceremony Mrs Warburton entertained her guests at her residence, Alexandra street.
