BUILDING PERMITS
INCREASED ACTIVITIES. The Borough year ended on Monday, and the records for building permits disclose an increase over those registered ‘during the 12 months ending March 31, 1923. The figures arts as follow: Year ending March 81, 1924, 73 permits, £25,217; year ending March 31, 1923, 61 permits, amount, -ng to £22,634. Eleven dwellings were responsible for £9491; 13 business promises cost £11,570; and alterations to and construction of sheds, amounted to £4156, On these figures the year must be considered a satisfactory one.
