[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Last Night.
As the result of discussions between the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation and the Department of Agriculture in regard to proposals to enable fruitgrowers of the Dominion to better regulate the disposal of their exportable surplus of fruit in overseas markets, the committee, consisting of representatives of growers in several exporting districts has been set up for the purpose of’supervising export arrangements and conferring with the Department as to conditions of guarantee on the export of fruit during the coming season. This committee will generally endeavour to co-ordin-ate all the interests concerned in the export of fruit, with a view to bringing about stable and good marketing conditions for the future. The committee consists of the following;— Messrs. A. M. Robertson, Hawke’s Bay; T. C. Brash, Wellington: J.‘ Allen, Nelson; Colonel Gray, Nelson; H. Turner, Otago and will be known as the Fruit Export Advisory Committee.
