ARMISTICE DAY.
CEREMONY AT CENOTAPH. RESENTMENT AT CHURCH OF ENGLAND'S ATTITUDE. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Friday, 7 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. IS. A considerable body of public opinion, especially non-churchmen and Catholics, deplores the abandonment of the religious ceremony at the Cenotaph, because Armistice Day happens tcfall on the Sabbath. The national ceremony ■ should not be confined to the national church, it Is contended, since Catholics and Jews made a sacrifice in war equally with the Church of England and should not be debarred from attending' the celebration.
