AUCKLAND HEALINGS.

MORE CURES RBfcORTED.

PALMERSTON'S PREPARA-

TIONS

It is anticipated that between 1000 and 1100 patients win be presented for healing at the Htckson mission opening in Palmerston North next week. Arrangement* are now practically complete fOr handling this great work, the organisation in all departments being remarkably efficient. A fleet of 60 motor-oars' has been placed at the service of the committee, ana people of all creeds have willingly extended hospitality to the patients. •The intercessory services continue to be attended by increasingly lftrge numbers, and a spirit of optimistic peetancy ii manifested by all. iiev. R. H. Hobday, vtear. of St. Coiumba, Auckland, in th* course of a letter to Rev. H. <*. Blackburn*, tolls of two remarkable instances of healing hitherto unrecorded. Speaking generally of the Auckland mission, Mr. Hobday says: " This has been the most marvellous experience of my life, so much so that it is difficult to describe it ail.''

In referring to the CUre of Mr. MeUzles, the View says: " You will un. derstand what I feel like. I know thtt young felloW well, and he lives not a hundred yards away. I called to see him this morning on my way to church. His improvement is marvellous. He used to be a terrible cripple, and Walked only with very great difficulty. I found him. straight and upstanding, with a face radiant with joy. His bad leg II now quite straight. The knee Joint is still stiff, which makes him limp, but h* is confident this Will pass Off. He told me the time by his wrist watch with his left eye, in which an optician told him only recently the sight was prae* tlcally gone. He still lacks the power of proper muscular co-ordination between the eyeballs, so that he looks with one eye at a time, but the left eye, previously dull and lifeless-look* ing, is now quite normal and bright, with the pupil normally expandinu and contracting. He came along.wits me to Communion, where many of my patients—to gO to-morrow—were as* sembled. Tfou can imagine their Joyous interest! He walked down the steps of his home without any assistance whatever. Besides this, his back was previously very weak; 60 that ho was very round-shouldered and flat' Cltfested, how for the first time he wn* enjoying to the full a good straight square back and long deep breaths, His appearance presented an astound* ing change'? Well, now, besides this another joy was in store. I found .at the church <one of my patients, who fey some errorhad a ticket for Monday as well a* Thursday, and went on Monday. Sue had suffered acutely from neuritis and was unable to raise One arm above her shoulder Or do any heavy work at an. Besides this, she had valvular diseasi Of the heari Her doctor hoped sni would go to the mission, being a godly man, and told her she should derive much benefit. But, ho said, there it real organic valvular heart troubli and I don't know about that; how* ever, he said, my view is, "My Gott ©an do anything'" 60 go ! and she went. She had been Co-ming very ro* gutarly to intercession Services, and we had regularly prayed tor her, with the others. This morning she told me that wheh Mr. Hlckson i a i,j u ij hands on her she was dlsappoihtea, as nothing sesmed to have habpehed, but that as soon as ever the Bishop had blessed her, that the Lord would per. feet in her that good work begun in her that days she experienced a sensation of immediate inflow of new life and vigour, she returned home full of joy and happiness, all her pains had gone; this morning She was doing her housework, feeding fowls and chasing chicks, etc., tftught the birt up from Point Chevalier, where sli4 lives, to COme to our service, and tell what great things God had done fo* her. She intends to go to her doctof again In a few days for further ex* ftminatton. Meantime, she is juSl radiant with happiness, and /her hus« band too. Yet do not think there was any violent emotional excitement about it. She is a very quiet sa-no wo. man at all times.
