MOTOR BUS DESTROYED BY FIRE. (From our own Correspondent.) Tlie Royal mail bus, whicH lias been running between Rongotea and Palinerston North for several years, was destroyed by fire on Saturday' evening, about a mile from Rongotea. Tha lire was caused by the engine backfiring. The mails had previously been removed as the bus had been held up with engine trouble. Word was immediately sent to tlic owners, .Messrs. N". J. W. Brown and Company, thai the bus was on fire, and a crowd quickly gathered, but found it impose siblc to do anything - .
