AVON BY SEACLIFF.

[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Last Night.

Seacliff gained a wall-deserved victory of 4points to 0 in the final for the Chatham Soccer Cup against Y.M.C.A., at Wellington. Baxter opened Ihe score just before the interval. Shortly after resuming, Phillips failed to equalise six yards from the goal, and ten minutes later McDougal scored for Seacliff. Two Y.M.C.A. forwards were passengers through injury and in the closing stages Baxter scored again, and Hooper added the fourth through a misunderstanding by the Y.M.C.A. backs. Hooper, McDougall, and Hanlin were the best forwards and Seacliff's defence was excellent.
