HALCOMBE NOTES.

The annual meeting' of the Halcombe Tennis Club was held last week, Mr. Blackburn presiding ovea fair attendance of members. The secretary, Mr. Mitchell, read the report and balance-sheot on the year's work. Last year's season opened with a credit balance of £5 odd. A good deal of expense was incurred In repairing the courts and purchasing nets, etc., which only left a balance of £3 odd this year to work on. The following offlcinls were elected:— Patron, Mr. H. C. Cor-nfoot; president, Mr. H. Redmayne; vice-presidents, Messrs. Heappey, Woodcock, Bates, Fraser, McLennan, Rennie, Francis, Peffers and Stansell; club captain, Mr. secretary and treasurer. Mr,
