APITI NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent). A very successful social was held on Friday evening in the Technical School under the auspices of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild. Both rooms were used for the occasion, the cooking room being used to prepare the supper, which was supplied by the ladies, and the woodwork room for the games and music. A large number of young people were present, who all seemed bent on enjoying themselves. During the evening songs! were contributed by Mrs H. Gould, and Messrs. Robinson, Morris, and Phyllips, who also gave a selection on his gramophone. Miss Edna Osborne gave a very pleasing piano solo. Mr Gould, a humorous recitation, and Mr David McKay, a selection on the bagpipes. Miss Duncan kindly acted as accompanist for the singers. At the conclusion of the evening Mr Robinson thanked all who had assisted towards the evening’s entertainment and announced that the collection had added a considerable amount towards the funds of the Guild.
