APITI NOTES.
Misses Shiela and Diilcie Dryden have gone to, Wellington for Carnival week. Mr and Mrs Herb. "Watson and family have returned from the Thames after a three months' holiday. Mr Gordon Caldwell has left Apiti to go farming at Shannon. Now that the fine weather has set in, the contractors have commenced painting the Apiti Hall. Mr W. Guy left Apiti on Tuesday with a hfird of 50 cows, to go farming in the low country. It is reported that a slip has occurred on the Oroua Valley road, between Kihmbalton and the bridge, and that as the road is half blocked traffic is being inconvenienced. Those using the road are beginning to wonder when the Council intends to have the slip removed as it has rendered the road in the vicinity dangerous.
