FEILDING POLICE COURT.
lIAIiCOMBK FORGERY CASK. At the Magistrate's Court yesterday Waller Frederick Goodall, alias Frank Goodall, alias J. Hod::'e, pleaded guilty (•o a charge of having forged the name of J. Dawber, of Palmcrston North to a cheque for £5. The evidence for the prosecution, which was heard by Messrs. It. H. Smalo and E. 11. Fisher, J's.P., was to the effect that the accused had been staying at the Halcombe Hotel and on June 25, he broke into the room of a boarder and stole a cheque form, which he filled in for £5, signing the name of J Dawber. A locai storekeeper cashed the cheque. Goodall was committed to the Supreme Court at Palmerston North for sentence.
