RADIUM INSTITUTE.
A DUNEDIN I'ROPOSAL. FUNDS NEEDED £12,000. (Per Press Association). DUNEDIN, Last Night. The appointment of Dr. Colin Anderson as radiologist at Dunedin Hospital, if he accepts will immediately open up the question of establishing' a Radium Institute. His expert opinion is that a further 500 milligrammes of radium is required to meet all likely demands. It is proposed to obtain an emanation outfit by means of which radium emanations may be supplied in glass tubes to other parts of the Dominion, as desired. Dr. Barnett estimates that an expenditure of £IO,OOO to £12,000 will meet present requirements, and foreshadows an appeal to the public for funds, which will carry a Government subsidy of 24/- in the
