OPIUM SMOKERS FINED
[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Last Night. Two Chinese. Ming Yui and Ah Chew, appeared at the Police Court charged with having been found in possession of opium in form suitable for smoking. They at first pleaded not guilty, taut after hearing the evidence, pleaded guilty. The magistrate remarking that it was not a bad case, fined Tui £ls a.nd Chew £lO, with costs. Both were given a month in which to pay.
