RUGBY CONTROL.

WEEKLY MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The usual weekly meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu Rugby Union was held at the Kosy Theatre last night, under the presidency of Mr A. M. Ongley. CORRESPONDENCE. From the secretary of Kia Toa Club, applying for the re-classification of G. Marshall, one of last season's senior players, to junior.—^-Granted. From the secretary of Bunnythorpe Club, applying for the transfer of B. Waller, of Kairanga, to Bunnythorpe. —Held over until next meeting. From the secretary of To Kawau Rugby Sub-Union, Sanson, stating that K. Bailey, L. Vile, W. Tohu and G. Simpson had been suspended for playing for the Rangitikei Club without the permission of the sub-union. The writer also asked if the local union could arrange for one of the representative teams to play a match at Sanson on June ICth or 23rd. —It was decided to write and inform the Wanganui Union of the position and ask it to take steps to prevent players residing in the Manawatu district from playing in the Wanganui competitions. It was also decided, in respect to the second request, that representative fixtures be arranged with Horowhenua, Te Kawau and Oroua for Show Week. . From the New Zealand Rugrby Union, asking the Manawatu body to submit the name of a suitable man for the position of selector for the season. The writer also stated that it had considered the question of reinstatements and had adopted the recommendation of the annual meeting. In connection with Charity Saturday, the writer asked for a list of the representative fixtures, so that a suitable Saturday could be set aside.—lt was decided to nominate Mr J. R. Hardie as inter-Island selector.

Prom the New Zealand Rugby Union, asking- the Union if it was prepared to take a Wednesday match against the Maori combination, and, if so, what would the gate takings bo likely to amount to; and what was the local estimate of the gate proceeds. —it was decided to accept and reply that the "gate" would be about £SO.

From the New Zealand Rugby Union in regard to the Manawatu Union's application to have the disqualification of J. R. Graham lifted and stating that no action had been taken. —Received.

From secretary of Mangatainoka Club, thanking the Union for its invitation to join the various other clubs in the annual seven-a-side tourney and stating that it would be impossible to mako the journey on account of the Bush Rugby Union's fixture. —Received. GENERAL. It was decided that the FeildingWoodville match, which was to have been played a fortnight ago, stand, in conformity with a decision arrived at at last week's meeting and that the game be. played at the end of the season if the teams arc in the running for Wie championship. An application from Bunnythorpe to play Colyton to-day in a friendly match was granted. It was decided that the Woodville team be allotted the match against the Maori Agricultural College this year. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. Seniors. —Woodville v. Kia Toa, Oval No. 1, 3 p.m. (Mr W. McSweency); Old Boys v. Western United, Oval No. 2, 3 p.m. (Mr E. Low); Feilding a bye.

Juniors.'—Old Boys v. Whakaronga. Whakaronga, 2.30 p.m. (Mr W. Smith); Bunnythorpe v. Woodville. Recreation Grounds, Woodville, 2 p.m. (Mr Murray); Western United v. Linton, Oval No. 2, 1.30 p.m. (Mr H. Thompson); High School v. Kia Toa, Oval • No. 1, 1.30 pan. (Mr. J. Pointon).

Third Grade.—2nd round: Old Boys v. Y.M.C.A., No. 3, 1.30 p.m. (Mr I. D. 'Parsons); Kia Toa v. Feilding, Polo Grounds, Feilding, 3 p.m. (Mr Reeve). P.N. High School and Feilding H.S., | byes.
