THE POLITICAL TIDE. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.! SYDNEY, May 15. The " Daily Telegraph " says: " Thi Queensland Labour victory seems to have been very mueih in the nature of a personal victory for Mr. Theodore. There is reason to believe that there is not much of the tiger about him, but that, like some other Labour politicians, ho will be willing to use the extremists. If he swims too far with the tide he may not be able to swim against it when he wishes to turn back. We do not believe Mr. Theodore will try to make Queensland a communistic State." OTACO'S CONGRATULATIONS. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDTN, Last Night. The Otago Labour representation Committee at its meeting to-night, carried the following resolution unanimously: " The O.L.R.C. congratulates the Queensland Labour Party on its magnificent victory at the polls and is pleased that the workers of Queensland have shown confidence in the Labour Government in again returning it with a greater majority.
