TENNIS BALL.
The members of the Fitzroy Tennis Club gave a very successful ball at the Parish Hall last evening, The lady members of the Club had excelled themselves in the decoration of the hall. Heliotrope and gold streamers led from the walls to a dome in the centre of the ceiling interspersed with : wisteria, making an exceedingly effective canopy for the dance floor. The stage was also very prettily decorated with bunches of beautiful chrysanthemums. Many beautiful gowns were worn by the ladies. The catering was in the hands of the fair sex, who made a tasty supper stillmore appetising by a pretty scheme of blue and gold table decorations. Those responsible for the evening's success were Misses Boddy, Burne and Avison and Messrs. Thomson, Wilson, Waliis, Fair, Lawrence and McConachie. Crozicr's orchestra provided excellent music.
