ROUGHS IN LONDON THEATRES.
LONDON, Marcli 6. Scotland Yard has declared war on Lhe organised gang of gallery roughhousers, which have been taking ail the joy our of every new show to open here. Half a dozen American productions have suffered, but as an equal number of German plays now running in London were accorded the same treatment, is is believed the campaign is directed against all foreign invaders of the London amusement field, and not against Americans alone. The authorities' decision was taken as the result of trouble at Saturday's initial appearance of Matheson Lang in an American success, "The Bad Man," where there were so many bad men in the gallery that Mr Lang hesitated to make his curtain speech at the close. The first American show to suffer was "You'd Be Surprised." at the Covent Garden Opera House. Peggy O'Neill in "Plus Fours," and Marie Tempest in "Good Gracious, Anna- | belle," had to go through similar ordeals.
