THE LUST FOR SPEED.
SOME ANTIDOTE NECESSARY. At last night's meeting of the Palmerstpn Borough Council, a letter was received from the Stratford Borough. Council with reference to motor speed records, and intimating that some action on behalf of the Government "was necessary, in t'he way of providing legislation prohibiting speed tests on the highways of the Dominion, and asking that the qirestion be supported, and t'he matter brought before Cabinet.—On the motion of Cr. Oram, it was decided to refer the matter to members for the neighbouring district's.
