The latest issue of " The Radiator, a journal published in the motoring interests, gives some interesting: information regarding the number of motor vehicles in various parts oE the world. It shows that. New Zealand has more than any other aountry in proportion to population, and the " direction indicator," which was recently invented in Palmerston North, and patented all over the world, is likely to be an important development in commercial and motoring circles. Over 100 testimonials have been received from city and county engineers, and business men as to its efficiency, and all speak in high terms of its value to travellers.* When a man walks a mile he takes on an average 2263 steps, but when he rides a bicyale with an average gear he covers a mile with an equivalent of only 627 steps*
