Mr Ronald McNeill, in the House of Commons, said the British Agent at Moscow had been instructed to strongly protest against the capture of the Lord Astor, and to demand her release, also that of the crew. The Government had despatched a patrol vessel to the Murman coast to prevent interference with British vessels outside tl;e three mile limit, and has ordered her to use force if necessary. The gunboat Harebell has left Hull for the fishery protection duty off the Murman Coast. JAPAN’S FISHING RIGHTS, (Received Friday, 8.5 p.i\.) TOKIO, Mary 10. Russia has acceded to Japan’s long controverted rights to flishing along tlie Siberian Coast. Russia’s action is regarded as brightening the prospect of a diplomatic and commercial conference, for which Russia is anxious.
