B t Mills, M.A. lady principal of the Palmerston North Girls' High School, leaves to.morrow fo,r Christchurch, to attend the jubilee celebration of Canterbury College, In addition to the presentation from th e pupils, Miss Hodge, of the staff of the Palmerston North Girls' High School, was the recipient of several handsomely bound volumes of Steven, son's works from her fellow.tcachers on Tuesday. Miss Hodge leavos for Australia shortly to be married. The popularity of the dances under the auspices of the U.S.A. Association will be enhanced after the novelty dance to be held at the Soldiers' Club on Saturday week, May 19. It is the intention of the Association that the function shall follow on the lines of a danco held recently in Wellington, each lady being attired in a dress of paper. Two substantial prizes are being offer, ed, one for the best'and one for the most original dress. This style of function is new to Palmerston North, and should pro.v e a greau success. The wedding was celebrated at St. George's Church, Hamilton, on March 23rd of Mr Frederick Cousins., second son of Mr and Mrs F. B. Cousins, of Millar Street Palmerston North, 'and Miss Inez Florence Anderson, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Anderson, of Palmerston North. The ' officiating Minister was the Rev. Harty. The bride., who was given away by her brother-in-law i Mr T. Kingston, wore a pretty travelling costume oi navy, edged with sirie braid, A reception was subsequently held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Kingston, when the usual toasts were honoured.' The honeymoon was spent at Taupo.
