KIWIS V. WALLABIES

Under the titles of Wallabies and Kiwis, the Australian and New Zealand banks tried conclusions with each other at cricket yesterday. Of the weather conditions the least said tha better, but nevertheless the game was good. The Kiwis defeated their marsupial opponents by 10 wickets. The Australians went in first, but had only 71 on their score-sheet when the last wicket of their first innings fell. The New Zealanders replied with 10S, of which Miller made 4.1. They suffered a succession of "ducks" at the hands of Palmer, a veritable demon bowler, who took 7 wickets for 3 6 runs. Wallabies In their second attempt made 75, Mahon having 3 5 of this to his credit. Rose and Little then went in for the Kiwis, and were 36 and 17, not out, respectively, when stumps were drawn for the day. A match between R.S.A. and Marton was played at the Sportsgrounds yesterday afternoon. The second innings was not finished, and the game was decided on the first innings, resulting in a win for R.S.A. by 34 runs. The following are the individual scores:— MARTON. —Ist Innings.
