CRICKET COUNCIL.

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. In connection with MacLaren's cricket team's tour, the management of the New Zealand Cricket Council considered various applications for further matches with minor associations. It was decided to adhere to the programme. The committee was influenced by the strong- opinions expressed by Messrs Warner and Ransford that too many matches and too much travelling had been required from teams visiting New Zealand in the past.
