The “Morning Post’s” Constantinople correspondent forecasts that Turkey will regard the Peace Conference not as following their defeat in the world war, but their own successful war of liberation, and will approach the Conference with the intention of establishing Turkey as a fully independent nation on an equal basis with other nations, unhampered by capitulations. Other special restrictions will probably accompany its demand, with sword brandishing as at Mudania, whence arises their desire that the conference should meet on Kemalist territory.
