BRITISH REVENUE.
CUSTOMS AND DEATH DUTIES INCREASE. [By Electric Cable—Copyright] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Sunday, 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 1. The British revenue for the quarter ended June 30th is £195,154,000, the principal items being: Customs, £31,309,000, excise £36,738,000, estate duties £16,591,000, property and income tax £57,433,000, excess profits duty £954,000. The principal increases are in the Customs (£2,964,000), estate duties (£5,667,000), and the chief decreases in the excise duties (£8,158,000), property and income tax (£6,467,000), property cess profits duty (16,100,000).
