FIXTURES. May 18, 20—Wanganui J.C. Winter. May 19, 20—North Otago J.C. Winter. May 30, June 1, 3 Dunedin J.C. Winter. June 3, s—Otaki Maori R.C. June 3, s—Australian J.C. Winter. June 3,5, 7—Auckland R.C. Trainers and jockeys are reminded that their applications for licenses for the next season must reach the district committee of the metropolitan district in which they reside, not later than May 31st, 1922. The Wanganui Jockey Club has received excellent acceptances for the first day of its winter meeting. Omahu is one of the short-priced ones for the Wanganui Steeplechase. Birkie, Demos, Maniahera, Noble, Pantler, Yankee Dan, Martulla, and Santiago will represent Palmerston stables at Wanganui on Thursday. Kilreid will be very hard to beat in the Borough Handicap at Wanganui on Thursday. Matatua is to have his first race over battens in the Kaitoke Hurdles at Wanganui, as will Ruatara, Vagabond, Noble and Circulate. It would not be surprising to see old Sir Solo leading the field home in the Wanganui Steeplechase. Marble Crag, who raced disappointingly at Hawera, may make amends at Wanganui. Mort Avis is very well just now, and will be seen to advantage at Wanganui. He is a solid proposition when right. The locally-owned and trained Eonmark will probably be seen racing at Wanganui on the second day. Sir Wai will be given a chance to earn distinction over hurdles this winter. He should make a good jumper, and will have Penury Rose and Sir Roseberry as schooling companions. Gamecock's entry in the Creal Northern Steeplechase came as something of a surprise, for up to the time he left for Wanganui he had not been schooled over big jumps at Riccarton. Sleight of Hand, who for some time past has been under the control of V. Collelo, at Hastings, has been returned to his owner, Mr F. Armstrong, of Akitio. He has evidently done his punch.
