CROSSING FATALITY
(Per Press Association ) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Ernest Arnold, a single man, aged C2, was killed at the Sockbum railway crossing by the south express tonight. Arnold, who suffered severely from rheumatism, was walking across the crossing, and evidently failed to see. the incoming train, owing to mist and rain. The express was twenty minutes late, which probably caused Arnold to kee4> a less careful watch.
