A PRICE WAR.
[By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, November 16. Following the breaking of the association between the Scottish and English steelmakers, a price war has begun. The English firms are offering Clyde firms’ ship plates and angle bars at 20/ per ton below Scottish prices. This has resulted in instructions ta shipbuilders to carry out suspended orders.
