GERMAN SHIPS.
REBUILDING (MERCHANTMEN. [Bv Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust and N.Z. Cable Assoolßtloa.] (Received Wednesday, 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN, March 5. The Reichstag has ratified the agreement between the Government and the shipowners, sanctioning a total grant of twelve millions for the reconstruction of the mercantile marine. The shipowners pledge themselves to build at least one-third of their former tonnage within a decade, and eight millions of the sum has already been handed over at Bremen and Elberfeld.
