According to the "Daily Express/’ the Austrian financial experts met the Allied experts and offered to deposit Austria’s assets, notably the customs, salt and tobacco monopolies, and the state rail revenues, as security for the loans. They also proposed to create new monopolies in sugar, alcohol ana mineral oil. One of the first needs in « food imports, is especially condensed milk, as the children and nursing mothers are sick and in sore straits.
