TURMOIL IN IRELAND.

In pursuance of military orders all males between 17 and 50 years in a number of towns and villages in the West Cork martial law area have been required to form platoons and act as civil guards to prevent and give immediate notice of ambushers and intended attacks on the Crown forces. The guards will be held responsible if attacks and ambushes occur. The males at Bantry, Glengariff, Kealkill and other places have been mustered and enrolled. Those refusing to serve are arrested.
