BILLIARDS.
THE AUSTRALIAN BEATEN. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] ( (Received Wednesday, 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, February 8. Hooper (Australia) early in the afternoon looked dangerous with breaks of 41 and 59. Then Fry (England) drew away with a break of 106 followed by 52 and 58. Hooper put in a nice 54. Fry replied with 60, and is now in a winning position. Though Hooper displayed great skill in scoring 79 of the red alone, the result is disappointing from the Australian standpoint after Hooper's brilliance yesterday afternoon, but Fry showed more stamina and lasting power. The final scores were; Fry, 2000; Hooper, 1720.
