LAWN TENNIS.
PALMERSTON NORTH CLfUB'S TOURNAMENT. The Palmerston North Tennis Club's annual three-day's tournament which will be commenced on the Linton Street courts on Thursday next, has attracted a large number of entries. These include among the men such well-known players as Dickie and Wallace, the winners of the New Zealand championship ■ doubles in 1907 and 1913, Powdrell and Lampe, the Wanganui cracks, and Duncan and Riddlford. The ladies also are strongly represented and include Miss Hodges, of Otaki, and Miss Bain, of Wanganui, besides many other noted players. The local representatives have been practising solidly and are in good form. The courts are in splendid order. Play will be commenced at 8.30 a.m. sharp.
