HOROWHENUA AND RANGFTIKEI DRAW. (Per Press Association.) MARTON, Saturday. The representative match, Horowhenua v. Rangitikei, was fast and exciting - . In the first spell there were no score, when the honours rested with Rangitikei, who missed several opportunities. The brilliant passing of Rangitikei enabled Payne to score the only try of the match, but his kick failed. HoroWhenua rallied and was awarded a free kick, and McDonald was successful, making - the scores even. Jacobs, Horowhenua's most prominent player, saved his team several times. The North Island selector, Mr G. Nicholson, and the Wanganui selectors witnessed the game.
