BKITISH FORCE RETREATING.

A party of tribesmen, led by Sherifian officers, attacked Tel Afar, seizing the Government buildings and killing all the Government officials, including two British officers. A number of the inhabitants were also killed. The crews of two armoured cars who visited Tel Afar next day were reported to have been captured and murdered. A punitive column is being sent from Mosul. (Received Thursday, 8.50 p.m.) LONDON, June 9.

A Moscow wireless reports that a provisional Government has been formed at Resht, and it was warmly greeted by the population. The British are hurriedly retreating to Baghdad as the Indians are opposed to fighting the revolutionaries, u considerable number going over to them.
