Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., advertise details of Mr H. Stokes’ sale of dairy cows, to be held at Mangamhata, on Wednesday next, at 12 noon sharp. DAIRYING LAND ON TEN YEARS’ TERMS. In these days of uncertain markets for stock, it is gratifying to note that the dairying industry- is assured of some years of continued prosperity-. Land, as a result, is making big prices, and dairymen will be well advised to see that they- go in for land where as many natural advantages as possible go with the possession of the soil. At Ohau there is a block of 3000 acres of some of the best dairying land in New Zealand, and it has been farmed for over forty years by Mr John Kebbel!, who was a breeder of purebred Romneys and Shorthorns. He was one of the best farmers in the Dominion, and breeding all his own stock as he did, he imported no weeds into his pastures. Now we rind the land, in very great heart throughout. The water supply is everlasting, as the property is watered by the Ohau x-iver, Waiwiri stream, lakes and springs. The fences are in excellent repair, and they are mostly on the boundaries of the new subdivisions. The vendor, Mr Fred S. Easton, has during the last two years farmed this property as a block and carried 4800 sheep, 600 breeding cows, and 25 horses, and he now offers it by auction through Abraham and Williams, Ltd., on the easiest possible terms. There is the usual provision for payments on the day of sale and dwellings in twelve months, the balance in five years at 5J per cent.; then the purchaser pays another 20 per cent, and gets the balance renewed for a further five years. Plans are obtainable from Abraham, and Williams at Levin, Palmerston North, and all branches, and intending buyers will be shown over the property on request.
