ENTERTAINMENTS.

ROSY. “The Pagan God,” which features H. B. Warner, is a fine picture with an oriental setting, and some powerful scenes which take an actor like Warner to do full justice to. PALACE. Clara Kimball Young, as a wild girl of the wilderness who is taken to Paris by a man who wished to spite another woman, is positively lovely. It is a good all-round programme. EVERYBODY’S. “The Grand Babylon Hotel,” now showing at Everybody’s, is an impossible sort of story, but has some very fine scenes of London and. its river traffic and bridges. WILLARD HOME FOR CHHjDREN. The welfare of children is occupy- , ing the mind and attention of many of our leading statesmen and medical authorities, and for very good reasons too. And if this country is to forge ahead as it should do, greater efforts should be made to raise the standard of health amongst children. It is imperative, absolutely, that the rising generation should be fullyequippped, mentally and physically when the time comes for their assuming the duties and responsibilities of citizenship. If you would do your “bit” to help the children of your own community, give what support you can to the Grand Bazaar in aid of the Willard Home for Children (which is undenominational). This very deserving project is fixed for Wednesday and Thursday, March 24th and 25th, in the Empire Hall. Any small gift for the various stalls or any sum of money will be gratefully received. Contributions ta stalls may be left at the following depots:—Mr E. H. Crabb’s office, Rangitikei Street; Excelsior Meat Co., corner Rangitikei and Cuba Streets; French’s Store, corner Pitzherbert and Ferguson Streets: Mrs Doreen, 20 Terrace Street. Consider what it means to help the children, then give your little “bit” towards this, project, and you Avill experience the satisfaction and pleasure that comes with the fulfilment of a common duty to humanity.
