METHODIST CONFERENCE.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Methodist Conference is holding its final session to-night. The establishment of a retiring fund for deaconesses was decided upon, flic fund to be retrospective. The minimum salary for fully qualified deaconesses was fixed at £l2O per annum. Tf was resolved that after the meeting the just claims of any Methodist chaplains and soldiers who have been on active service in regard to war disability, would be heard and the supernumerary fund arrears and balance be retained by Conference for future use in military work and territorial camps. That in the rule concerning promotion, that years of active service count double, be given effect to in regard to Methodist chaplains. The final reading of stations was adopted.
