Lerier, a French explorer, shoots her and binding up the wound, falls in love with her dusky beauty. When Lerier returns to France, he takes her with him and she is happy in his house, until she realises that Lerier, tiring of her simplicity, has returned to Aimee Ducharme, his former love. In a rage, Renee destroys a relic which Aimc-e had brought from Cyprus to Lerier, and then, remorseful, sets out for Abyssinia to secure another to take its place. Lerier believes her to be dead, and wanders again to Africa, where the frantic -prince, capturing him, takes him to the palace ruins to oiler as a sacrifice. Ilenec is seeking her relic among the ruins and finds the mirror. This recalls former days and her clouded memory stirring, she calls aloud to Lerier, just as he comes to view. The prince's men see her and bow before their queen, who walks straight to Lerier and falls on her knees. Thinking that they have captured, a mighty prince, the natives "flee in disorder before his wrath can overtake them. A Topical and a new Post Nature scenic will also be shown. KOSY. H H. WARNER IN "THE PAGAN GOD." •The Pagan God" is a screen production based on the American balking of Oriental intrigue. This photoplav is described as having a charming love story between the American secret operative in China, and the daughter of an American collector who is visiting China with her father, who is in search of relics. Tai, a woman of Chinese and French parentage, aspires to become the next ruler Of Mongolia, and she becomes infatuated with the young American secret service man. He secures from her the list of prospective victims in the impending revolution. His own American fiancee scorns him for his apparent desire for the society of the Chinese Cleopatra. Tai has an Oriental lover who also becomes jealous of the •American, and he plots to put him out of the way. He causes him to be falsely accused of the theft of the Pagan God, and he abducts the American girl and her father. The rescue of his sweetheart and her parent is responsible for a number of thrills, and the hero finally succeeds in also overthrowing the chief conspirators in the impending revolution. A tragic ending for the Oriental plotters and future happiness for the hero and heroine is the final of "The Pagan God."
