MAYOR'S XMAS APPEAL
in order to supplement the amount sweets will be sold and a Xmas cake and plum pudding auctioned at the dance recital and concert which is to lie held in the Opera House on Thursday, Hth, to provide Christmas comforts for the aged, the sick and the poor. Each year the Mayor endeavours to brighten the lives of the distressed, and particularly the children, by the distribution of Christmas gifts, and so worthy a cause deserves a generous response. In addition, the dance recital will bo a unique opportunity of seeing the pupils of Miss Campbell, who is recognised as the best teacher of classic dancing in Wellington. Miss Campbell is bringing up her most talented pupils, and‘a delightful programme of dancing is assured. The concert will bo contributed by local artists. Prices at 2/ and 1/, with 3/ for booked scats. Box plan at Swallow’s.
